Another Year Comes To An End
Phew, how did the year go so quickly? I don’t know if it’s to do with my worsening memory or because of how much fun we have living the chronic illness life, but time is just disappearing. I wanted to skip the mini me update and head straight to wishing you all a very Merry Christmas 2023.
For us, this year has been nothing short of challenging and difficult, full of worry for my mum, unimaginable levels of exhaustion, and with just a touch of hope for the New Year with a possible house move on the horizon. How has 2023 been for you?
I hope you can take a moment to appreciate the efforts you’ve made, the things you’ve done and the challenges you’ve survived, to give yourself a little credit instead of flagellation or regret as another year comes to an end.

To all those celebrating, I wish you a very Merry Christmas! However the festive season looks for you, make it your own and let go of the pressures if you can. Give yourself the time for as much rest as you need and the permission for a little joy, too.
Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, despite the assumption that the festive period must be a time of holly jolly happiness. Please reach out if you want someone to talk to and get support if you need it. I’ll also leave a few post links below for those having a Chronic Illness Christmas this year.

2023 has been… well… it started out on a high note with one of the most memorable nights of my life, a story that I’m going to be telling for years, but it kind of felt like it was mostly downhill from there as my social life and support system continues to fall apart. But I haven’t exhausted all of the options yet.
Wishing you and your family a very happy Christmas! I hope you and your mum are doing well. I hope 2024 is less of a challenge and brings you and your familiy better days.
