Shopping isn’t at the forefront of my mind lately, nor will it be for many of us I don’t imagine. However, I’m always looking for ways to save money and get a better deal, especially given difficult this year has been financially. Black Friday doesn’t always dish up many gems, but there are a few decent finds to be had, whether you’re looking for yourself, the home or Christmas gifts. Now might be the time to replace the broken toaster, upgrade your laptop or stock up on skincare.

Here’s a run-down of some of the brands participating in Black Friday 2020 & what they’re offering.

Converse

There’s 40% off a bunch of styles at Converse, footwear and clothing for men, women and kids. I love Converse trainers and have got through quite a few pairs of low tops and high tops since my teens. The comfiest & trainers ever, or at least in my opinion, and I’m always right!

You can currently get 40% off selected styles using the code FASHIONFAVES at the checkout.

There are also styles reduced in the outlet. Use code SAVEMORE to get another 20% off.

It’s free delivery on orders over £50, with free returns. Check out the full Converse range here.

Amazon Black Friday Magic

Amazon have been selling Black Friday deals all week, but they’ve also got a few extra special offers.

Echo Dot + 6 Months Music Free

Amazon have discounted their Echo Dot 4th Gen smart speaker and upgraded the offer so that for a limited time you can get 6 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free with any purchase of an Amazon Echo Dot 3rd or 4th gen. Non-Prime members can currently get a 4th gen Echo dot in charcoal for £28.99 (RRP £49.99), but Prime members may be eligible for other special offers on this price.

Search all Echo Dot smart speakers at Amazon UK & Echo Dot at Amazon US.

Amazon Music – 3 Months Free

If you don’t fancy an Echo Dot, you can still get 3 months of free music without any ads as a new customer to the service. Sign up to Amazon Music’s free 3 month trial here for the UK and don’t forget to cancel before it auto-renews. If you’re in the US, you can find the free 3 month Music offer here.

Kindle Unlimited – 2 Months Free

If you’re new to Kindle Unlimited, you can currently get 2 months absolutely free. This trial is worth £7.99 p/month. Don’t forget to cancel before it auto-renews if you don’t wish to continue. Sign up to Kindle Unlimited UK here before November 30th 2020 to get the offer.

You may be eligible for a free Kindle Unlimited trial if you’re in the US too, but offers may vary.

Bargain Buys @ Bargain Max (UK)

Bargain Max is a website in the UK with branded products at lower prices. They sell a range of toys and fun stuff for kids of all ages, and some games for adults, too.

For example : Cranium Dark at Bargain Max (UK) £5.49 (RRP £12.99) plus free delivery

Wonders @ The Works (UK)

The Works is fantastic for all sorts of novelties, art supplies and books. So, so many books. They have some fab prices and offers on many paperbacks at 3 for £5.

Delivery is free over £30 otherwise it’s £2.99. Collect in store is not available during the pandemic lockdown but there are often discount codes to be had.

Nightmare Before Christmas Awesomeness

A very funky version of Cluedo for The Nightmare Before Christmas fans is available at IWOOT (I Want One Of Those). Use the discount code ‘BBUK20’ at checkout to take the price from £29.99 down to only £23.99. I’m sad to say I’ve never even played Cluedo but I love the look of this. Delivery is £2.99 or free over £30. They have a few other NBC goodies too, like Monopoly, t-shirts, hoodies & Skellington figures.

Check out IWOOT’s Nightmare Before Christmas Cluedo & other goodies here.

Electricals and white goods aplenty can be found at Currys. Buyers can get home delivery or collect in store during the pandemic lockdown. They’ll have a range of offers for Black Friday, including the likes of vacuums, laptops, mobiles, smart heating, ovens, washing machines and headphones. Take a look at the Currys deals here.

Medichecks Home Blood Tests

I’ve previously reviewed Medichecks & would highly recommend them. They offer private at home (or in clinic) blood tests for people in the UK, and there’s a wide range of tests available. They’ve got a few things on offer for Black Friday, including discounts on the Thyroid Function With Antibodies test.

Take a look at Medichecks with this link and use the code INVISME10 for 10% off.

Reakiro CBD

I’ve reviewed Reakiro CBD previously. They have a fab range of CBD products, from oil drops and capsules, to warming muscle rubs and body butters.

For the 26th November, you can get free shipping on all orders & 20% off all CBD products using the code ‘20black’. Take a look at the Reakiro CBD range here.

Apple Store

Apple don’t really ‘do’ Black Friday, at least not in the way of any discounts. But they have confirmed they’ll be participating this year as they did last year, with gift cards being given out with the purchase of certain items, like MacBooks. They offer free home delivery so you can stay safe at home as your gear arrives.

Superdrug Sales (UK)

Superdrug have various offers on for the Black Friday sales at the moment, from up to 50% off fragrances to discounts on electricals and Christmas gift sets.

They’re also offering £10 off when you spend £60 using the code BFSAVE10, which ends 1st December. Take a look at what’s on offer at Superdrug here.

HostPresto Blog / Website Hosting Discounts (Worldwide)

HostPresto offer very reasonable prices for blog or website hosting and domain names. I use them and have been pleased with the cost, uptime and customer service, especially when compared to competitors.

They’re currently offering the first month of hosting for only £1 as a Black Friday special. Select your HostPresto package here and enter the code 1POUND at the checkout.

Alternatively, you can get a whopping 60% off the HostPreto Mega package using this link and entering the code IMPRESTO at the checkout, which could get you cheap but impressive hosting. Discount is available until Tuesday 1st December.

There are lots of sales going on at the moment so this is just a taster. Remember, be smart with your purchase(s), compare prices and make sure you can afford it. It’s a good time to make use of sales and discount codes for things you need, want to treat yourself to or want to get for Christmas gifts. I’ve kept this post quite generalised and I’ll update it on the day, so check back for new offers.

Have you seen any interesting deals yet? I love a good bargain hunt – is there anything you want or need at the moment that I could help you find? Drop any requests in the comments below or send me an email!

Caz  ♥

PS. To all those in the US, Happy Thanksgiving! Have a safe & sweet long weekend.

Great ideas. We are already done with Christmas shopping. We just buy for our grands and great grands. They choose what they want and we ship it to them. Easy.

Have a fabulous day, Caz. ♥

I use Kindle all the time so why am I so suspicious of Kindle unlimited? Hm…

Hahah I get suspicious of anything that sounds too good. I’ve tried Kindle Unlimited earlier this year (after reading my FIRST Kindle book ever) and I thought it was really decent for what you get, but that was a freebie trial so it was even better ???? xx

Oh, Caz, what a brilliant list. I always seem to buy something, then it goes on sale lol. I was ordering a jacket recently and had to stop myself because I knew it would be reduced during the Black Friday sales. There are some great savings to be had.

Charlee: “Our Dada got an email from Apple about their Black Friday gift card deal so he made plans to buy our Mama a new MacBook Pro M1.”
Chaplin: “Yeah, but then when the event started it turned out that the gift card offer didn’t apply to the new MacBooks!”
Lulu: “So what did he do?”
Charlee: “Well he got Mama a new MacBook Pro M1 anyway, of course.”
Lulu: “So … who got any benefit from Black Friday, then?”
Chaplin: “Apple did.”
Lulu: “Oh. Well that’s good. They sure do need the money.”

I love my Converse!

I always assumed Black Friday was just a ridiculous American tradition. Do you guys also have Black Friday in the UK?
