InvisiblyMe Nominated For 5 Wego Health Awards

I am thrilled to say that InvisiblyMe has been nominated in 5 categories for this year’s Wego Health Awards! For those that aren’t familiar with Wego, here’s a look at what the awards are, how they work & who’s nominated.

Update : There have been some last minute nominations & it turns out InvisiblyMe has now been kindly nominated for 8 awards!

What Are The Wego Awards & How Do They Work?

The Health Awards are hosted by Wego, a platform connecting patient leaders in order to transform healthcare. Wego Health consider influencers, e-patients, collaborators, bloggers and advocates to Patient Leaders, and the Wego Awards are their way of celebrating the achievements of such individuals. 

The Wego awards started back in 2011 and so 2020 marks the 9th year of this annual event. Due to the pandemic, this year’s awards ceremony will be held vertically in early October, with more details TBC.

The winners are anticipated to receive a $500 cash prize for use with travel or advocacy efforts, a Wego Health 2021 Patient Leader Advisory Board Seat (estimated at $1,500), an the opportunity to be featured in the HLTH’s webinar series along with industry exposure. 

Voting (referred to as ‘endorsing’) starts on 1st July. There will be six finalists in each category this year. Three of these will be automatically chosen as the individuals with the most endorsements. The other three will be chosen by the judging panellists. Judges will then assess each finalist against scoring criteria to decide upon the winners in each category.

I’ve been very kindly nominated for five awards. From here, it’s down to endorsements and judge assessment to whittle down the nominees to the finalists.

How You Can Endorse Nominees In The Wego Awards

You can either browse the list of nominees, search the website for individual listings, or go directly to the user’s profile. Within the profile, you’ll see a tab for awards. Click here to see what award(s) they’ve been nominated for and navigate to ‘endorse’ in order to place your vote.

You don’t need to be a member of WegoHealth to vote, but you do need to supply a name and email in order to prevent spam voting.

Voting started on 1st July and ends on 31st July 2020.

There’s no pressure whatsoever to endorse or comment here, but if you’d like to show your support by voting then that would be wonderful. I would be honoured if you’d like to vote for InvisiblyMe in any or all of the nominated categories.

I debated for a while whether to post this and share on social media. I hate – hate – anything like this where you have to ask for votes, especially when you have enough self-doubt to fill the Pacific. But I want to give credit to those that initially nominated me in the first place, because I am honoured and greatly appreciative of that kindness.

I’ve already nominated a few other bloggers and have endorsed many since the voting opened as there are a lot of wonderful bloggers out there. Although I don’t stand a chance at winning, just being recognised myself and being able to show appreciation of others for their work is amazing. I’d recommend checking out the other nominees too as you’ll find a range of amazing bloggers with great content.
