Mini Break For Op

I hope everyone’s as well as possible. How has your week been?

It would appear I’m finally off for a Holiday a la Hospital next week, Tues 10th. It’s for a laparoscopy and a few other diagnostic procedures, so they’ll put me under, dig around and see what they can find. The problem is, it’s in London and I’m dreading it, especially the travel; it’ll be long 2am solo bus ride. If this goes well, I’ll be booked in for the ‘big’ op in the future, so that’s the one I can really start to pee my pants in fear about. This upcoming one should, with any luck, be relatively straightforward. Fourth time lucky, as long as it’s not cancelled again.

It’s been quite the palaver getting the pre-op, medical notes, and everything else in order. Apparently, the London hospital have no notes for me whatsoever. I thought the NHS spent billions on a ‘linked up’ system? Clearly it doesn’t work too well…

As I seem to have a lot of things going on right now that I won’t go in to here as that’ll be far too much excitement for one blog post 😉 I just feel very overwhelmed and like I could cry. Of course, when you’ve got a lot to do, it’s typical that more things will eek their way on to your to-do list, and that everything around you will decide it’s time to pack in and call it a daythe water filter, the boiler, the bloody printer.

Anyway, there’s not enough time or energy to do everything that needs to be done in between all the health issues and pain even though I’m trying my best, so I need to step back from the blog world for a few days. From today, you may find I don’t like or comment on many posts and I’m really, really sorry for that. I can feel the anxiety creeping in already at the thought of not keeping up with other bloggers and their posts!

I likely won’t be away for long but the day after I get home from London I have to go at the crack of dawn to Bristol for a different kind of appointment. I will be so very glad to have a day in bed next Saturday snuggled up with a book!

Now, how the heck am I going to print all of my notes for Thursday, my hospital appointment letters, or my travel tickets??! Time for last minute printer shopping maybe, if I don’t spontaneously combust before then. Sorry for the whinge, it’s been a bad few weeks after stoma problems, money worries and everything else, it’s all just getting to be a bit too much 😂

I’ll try to update with tales of my vacation on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I may leave a Trip Advisor review but I’m taking crisps and cereal bars as you can never be too sure with all inclusive food offerings. I’ll leave the swim suit at home for this one 😉

In the mean time, I hope you all have the best weekend and week ahead as possible. Take good care of yourselves 🌷

Caz  ♥

Caz, this is heartbreaking. Forget the blog and social media. It would fine if you drop a post with two words saying. “I’m okay.”
The only thing that matters is you and your health. We will be here when you get back.
You are a beautiful soul who needs to get well as soon as you can.
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Sending you the biggest of Hugs.

You take all the time away you need Caz. I’m so sorry you’re having such a tough time right now. You’re one of the strongest people I know, and I know that you’re going to get through this just as you have everything else – with grace and grit. Praying everything goes smoothly and that some of the pressure you’re feeling is lifted. Sending lots of love your way sweet friend.

Good luck with this, Caz. I’ll be thinking about you. I wish you didn’t have to go alone though.
And ditch that anxiety about other people’s blogs. Your support always means so much, but think about yourself just now.
Take good care of yourself and rest when you can x

It’s very understandable how things are so overwhelming right now, with tje different things going on in your life. It doesn’t help matters that you have to travel for this op. So do enjoy your bed, when you are home, just sleeping and relaxing where you can.
As the other bloggers have said themselves, I will be here, along with your other readers, when you are ready to blog again. So don’t worry about the blogging break.

As for me this week, I got a morning cleaning job of 15 hours. So with this and the other one I already do, I have decent hours for me to take the money worries off. A weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
Now the money situation is better, means I have now got round to having a fur baby. I adopted a syrian hamster yesterday. I have named her Daisy.

You know we’re all in your corner cheering you on. No response needed, for goodness sake!

    All good wishes,

Blessings Caz. Stop, breathe, and turn everything around. Envision yourself already after everything, at home and how you will feel when home after everything, and envision yourself thinking wow it all went so smoothly, it went better than what you anticipated.
This is exactly what I just did, I had a surgery in my bladder on Tuesday, and at first when we scheduled the surgery I was flipping out, and than I remembered everything I know so I started envisioning myself already after the surgery and thinking wow it went better than I had thought, I felt myself happy that the surgery went well and how well I’m doing etc.
I am in awe of how well I am. The important thing is to remember that what you put out into the universe is exactly what you will get in return, your thoughts and words are like magical magnets. And most important is the feelings, feel yourself happy that it all went so smoothly and well. All blessings to you.

There are shops that offer a printing service, though I guess it depends how much you need to do because I think they charge by the page.
Easier said than done, but hope you can take a step back from all the things and make a list of those that really have to be done. The other things can wait till you are back.
I guess not knowing is the hardest – not knowing for sure it’s definitely happening and not knowing how the day will go, but you’ve got this. You have a plan, and in just a few days you’ll be back snuggled up with that book.
I got anxious too before my op a couple of years ago, so I know it’s real, but I hope you can also find something nice to do in this time beforehand so you can relax a bit and build up your strength.
I hope it all goes really well and we’ll be here to chat again when you’re ready.
Take care and be kind to yourself XXX

Hey, I’m here for you, Caz. Been going through some things of my own, so you’re not alone. We’ll hold hands through this cuz I could use a friend, too. ♥️

If you ever need to talk, or cry… just email me and I’ll give you my phone number. You can call, or text me, anytime… day or night. Not sure if I’ll wake up at night, but you’re sure welcome to try. Really, any hour is totally fine. My dogs, cats, and bunny rabbit won’t mind.

    Hugs

  23. September 7, 2019 / 9:19 pm

Oh my dear. At least you haven’t lost your sense of humor! If they put you through this a fourth time, I’m booking a ticket to London to kick some doctor-tail 😂 (don’t I wish). Honestly, I wish I could be there to take you and care for you, my dear. Since I can’t, I will be sending you all the calming, healing energy I can muster and hoping for the best outcomes. I’ll be looking for your updates on Twitter, too. I will miss you, but I’m more than happy for you to miss a comment or three while you focus on your needs. Sending you lots of hugs and love! Xx

  24. September 7, 2019 / 10:01 pm

Sounds as thought that ‘linked-up’ system is missing a few links! Hope it all goes smoothly, Caz 🙂 After reading the BBC’s recent round-up of hospital meals, I can’t blame you for taking snacks along – some of the meals looked gruesome!

  25. September 7, 2019 / 11:21 pm

Thinking of you and sending good thoughts to your procedures and recovery.

  48. September 10, 2019 / 4:36 am

Dearest Caz, I do hope you know that you need not worry about all of our blogs. Don’t let that anxiety trap try to get you entangled in unnecessary worry. You need to be concerned with you, getting well and staying well! Your support and comments are always incredible, but we’d rather have you! We will all be here when you return. 🙂

My prayer is that all will go well for you during your procedure and once you have come home to rest up (as much as you need!!), that you will have some long awaited answers to what’s been going on for you.

Please please, know that you are loved and are thought about! I’m so sorry you’ve been going through so much. That Murphy’s Law sometimes works in ways we never dreamed possible. 😲 You need a break. Take all the time you need.

Sending you love, well wishes and lots of prayers. 🙏🏼 See you as soon as you feel ready. ♥ ~ Holly

Hi Caz, Back home now so I can type on a proper keyboard and not poke helplessly at my phone keys. I mislaid – well lost – my pokey doobery that I need to hit the buttons while we were away!!
Anyway, I’m not sure of your dates but hell it don’t matter because I’m gonna send buckets of love for every day you are away on your ‘enforced’ hols.
Lie back and rest while they do what they do,
Holler and scream when you need to,
smile, cry, and laugh, whatever you feel
Caz, it’s your life to heal,
    strut your stuff –
but not in the buff –
Caz, we’re all here for you.

Please forgive me for that. 😉 Sometimes (often) my thoughts only come out in verse.
    Take care. Maz XXX
