Design & Create With Canva

Canva is a brilliant resource for anyone looking to design, create, make photo collages, make their own cards or posters and more. I use it for the blog, as do many other bloggers. It’s absolutely worth checking out as the main framework is free to use. You can also upgrade to Canva Pro for access to more designs, stickers, photos etc. If you’re new to Canva Pro, you’re likely to be eligible for a free month’s trial (it’s always worth checking even if you’ve had a free trial in the past, and keep an eye on emails incase they send such an offer).

Check out Canva free here & see if you’re eligible for the Canva Pro free trial.

Free Kindle Cooking Inspiration

Here are three Kindle cookery books for inspiration & delicious recipes, all of which are currently FREE for a limited time :

Copycat Recipes : +130 Step-by-Step Recipes to cook the most famous restaurant dishes at home (save money and dramatically improve your cooking skills. Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Applebee’s & more)

The Effective Slow Cooker Cookbook : A Complete Guide Inclusive of 101 Healthy Slow Cooker Recipes

Vegan Cookbook Box Set 6 Books in 1 (includes Ingredients, Instant Pot, Comfort Food, Slow Cooker, Desserts & Smoothies)

Amazon Prime Day

Prime Day is coming! I think many people find it to be a bit hit and miss, but there can be some decent finds. It’s actually held over two days:

In the US & the UK, Prime Day is June 21st & June 22nd 2022.

It’s likely Prime members will get extra deals nearer the time. If you don’t have Prime, t’s also worth checking whether you may be eligible for a trial, even if you’ve had one in the past.

Check out the Prime Day pages and see if you’re eligible for a free trial here.

£10 Free Amazon Credit

Spend £10 or more on items sold by small or medium sized businesses (includes Amazon Handmade & Amazon Launchpad). You’ll then get £10 credit when Prime Day starts for you to spend between June 21st at 00:00 and June 22nd 11.59pm (must be spent on products sold & delivered by Amazon, with the usual expulsions like gift cards, kindle books etc).

This deal isn’t listed on the Amazon site but it appears to be verified by HUKD as a genuine promotion. Check out the small/medium business products here.

Free £6 At Amazon When Buying Gift Cards

Get a free £6 promo code to use on your future Amazon orders when you buy £60 or more of Amazon.co.uk gift cards. This is for select accounts – click the link to see if you’re eligible. Gift cards could be redeemed on your own account for you to use in future a bit like topping up a cash stash to use on the site, which is what I did to get £6 free. Get your free £6 promo here.

AnySharp World’s Best Knife Sharpener with Powergrip only £6.66

Okay, so this is quite a random one! It’s a smaller discount but on a product that could save money in the long run. The AnySharp is a small but powerful knife sharpener that suctions to your kitchen worktop for ease of it. It comes with a 2yr warranty and a 4.5star rating from over 37,200 reviews. I bought one in 2016 and it’s still going strong now. Usually sold for around £9-12. Find the AnySharp for £6.66 for a limited time here.

I’d also recommend the Brabantia can opener as it’s worked far, far better than any other we’ve ever had and it’s much easier to use when the joints in my hands are sore. Pricey for a can opener but worth every penny and a better investment than buying lots of cheaper ones over the years that don’t work or break after a few uses.

Kindle 99p Deals

There are a few good thriller and detective finds on Kindle for a limited time only at 99p :

Boots (UK) Deals

There are lots of offers at Boots of late. I wouldn’t be able to list them all and they regularly change, but as an example:

  • Save 15% on photo gifts with code GIFT15.
  • Get £10 worth of points when you spend £60, ends 03rd June.

Check out the fab deals at Boots here.

You’ve found some more great deals Caz! I use Canva all the time, and I love it. I’m not very artistic, so having a program that helps me make my graphics is pretty much a must-have. Thanks for sharing all these fabulous finds with us!

Oh, Caz, have I told you before that I love your frugal finds? I really do! I’m often tempted to try Canva. So far, I’ve just been plodding along making images for my blog on my own. I might take a look at it though.

The knife sharpener reminded me of something. My hubby is a bit enthusiastic about kitchen gadgets. He saw videos of a knife sharpener which claimed to be the best and he ordered three. One for us, one as a spare and one for someone he knows. They were sent from China. 12 arrived. Yes, I said twelve. He’d only paid for three but they said to keep them. Fortunately, they are really good. I think most of our relatives were gifted with one. So, I will not be needing to look into the knife sharpener on your list lol.

Hope you’re enjoying the weekend, Caz.

Take care,
Liz

Buy 3, get 8 free? Bargain! ???? That’s brilliant, it’s great when you read something like this with consumers getting the better flip side for a change. The irony is with products that are “the best” like these, you should never need more than one for decades. Good job you’ve got relatives you were able to gift the excess to ???? Thanks for sharing this, Liz. Made me chuckle! xx

I found 2 books from your list. One is directly from your list, and another is from that one. Sandy and I like who-done-it’s in the mold of Agatha Christie or Mary Roberts Rinehart. (I can’t do thrillers because I have nightmares.) Also, I’m going to explore Canva. Thanks so much! – George

Charlee: “It’s always good to save those magic green papers when you can!”
Chaplin: “I’m not sure the magic green papers are actually green in the UK.”
Charlee: “Green, pink, purple … whatever color the magic papers are, it’s still good to save them!”
