Mini Me Update

Image of a coffee next to a laptop with the words 'Mini Me update'.

It’s been a while since doing one of these but I’m going to keep it fairly brief and just cover three things : The Bloggers Bash, books & ducks. I’ve been falling behind as usual on everything, and finding the time where I’m able to do the things I need to do gets less and less; while I know that comes with the territory of unpredictable chronic illness, it’s still immensely frustrating! So aside from being hugely a little stressy & behind, I’m hoping to keep this post positive 🙂

Bloggers Bash : London 2019, Award for Best Lifestyle Blog

I somehow managed to win the Best Lifestyle Blog Award at the 2019 Bloggers Bash. While I wasn’t well enough to attend, it’s lovely to see photos from those who did. You will be glad to know I’m going to skip the Oscar Award style speech & obligatory tears, but I do want to just thank those that voted so much because it means a lot to me. I am still quite shocked as I never anticipated being nominated, let alone winning. You can check out the full list of winners here.

I’d also like to thank everyone who reads, comments, likes, lurks and subscribes – you are what keep me going with InvisiblyMe, so thank you! 🌹

Book Loving

I’ve been getting through quite a few books, despite having less reading time. A good book can be such bliss, and you know it’s good when it’s one that you can sink into and look forward to reading. I love Jonathan Kellerman books as you can pretty much guarantee they’re going to be fantastic. I would definitely recommend this author for fans of the crime thriller genre who are looking someone who writes with confidence and breathes life into his characters, throwing in wit and sarcasm as he goes to leave you wanting more.

The Wedding Guest is Kellerman’s latest work, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!

My photograph of the book Little Darlings.

This is one I’d seen a lot of buzz about, but it was Steph’s review that made me pick up a copy to check out. It’s a UK-based psychological thriller that gets under your skin as you read it and keeps you wondering what the truth really is when one woman thinks her babies are under threat. I can see why it’s been getting rave reviews!

Competition Win

A photo of the three books that I choose from winning the competition.

A huge thank you to Steph over at Stephanie’s Novel Fiction for this – if you’re a fellow book lover I highly recommend her blog for new reading inspiration & fantastic reviews! I won her competition for a voucher for the Book Depository, and these are the titles I chose :

Cleaning The Gold – Karin Slaughter & Lee Child

Slaughter (yes, that’s her real surname!) is another of my favourite crime thriller authors, so I’m excited to see how this one goes with her teaming up with another big hitter in the genre.

Becoming – Michelle Obama

Okay, so rather different to anything I thought I’d be choosing. I was totally disinterested in this when I first heard about it, but I kept seeing 5 star reviews and reading comments that made me increasingly curious. I had to give in and see for myself what all the hype is about. At the moment, it’s number 1 in the Amazon charts & gets an average 5 star review from over 14,000 readers!

How To Be Sick – Toni Bernhard

This is a classic in the self-help style category for those with chronic illness, and yet I’d never read the original. The copy I’ve selected is the updated version, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what Bernhard has to offer on the subject.

Mini Outing

A while ago I mentioned wanting to do a day trip as something for my mother’s birthday. Well, we did end up taking the choochoo to Birmingham, but it didn’t go so well for me. It was far too much and I ended up on the floor of the Bullring (as there was no available seats) on the verge of tears from so much pain, then I proceeded to throw up. It was a long day.

It was, however, a learning curve for me in accepting that prescription pain relief should be taken as needed and that I just can’t do the things I used to do. Even with adjustments, a larger day trip isn’t very manageable and as a result, it’s not enjoyable. A lot of the time I think I ‘should’ want to do these things, I ‘should’ try to do them, when I don’t really want because I don’t have the capacity to manage them.

Attempt number two was a short trip where I drove my parents to a local town. It was a short enough drive, I took my pain meds when I got there, we had a little wander, said hello to some duckies, got lunch and headed back within 2.5-3hrs. I was still exhausted and in pain, but it was far more doable and as a result far more enjoyable.

A photograph of a walkway leading down to a river, with green grass on the other side of the water. A family of three ducks are walking down towards the water.
Duckies on their own day out.

This trip was back in May, where we got lucky with an odd sunny day; it’s been grey skies, chilly temps & rain ever since.

A photo of me standing near the river, with a boat about 12 feet behind me.
Happy for a rare sunny May day.

Brighter Days…

There are brighter days ahead, literally & metaphorically. Although it seems the summer has forgotten to visit the UK this year, apparently the sunshine is coming to say hello over the next few days. Dangerously high temps are reaching other parts of the world already, with what’s being dubbed a ‘heatwave from hell’ now across Europe, Wherever you are, stay safe, cool & hydrated.

I’m keeping it short today to skip through the usual health blahs. I’ve had some very rocky patches, but I’m trying to keep this positive & hope for the best! How are you all doing? If you’re struggling at the moment, please remember that there are brighter days ahead

Caz  ♥

Congratulations on your award! It’s much deserved!! 😀 I love Jonathan Kellerman books! I want to Little Darlings, too.

    • June 30, 2019 / 11:59 am

That’s very kind, thank you lovely! Glad to hear you’re a fellow Jonathan Kellerman fan, he’s brilliant! Have you read The Wedding Guest Yet? If not I think you’ll love it, and Little Darlings if you get the chance to check that out, too. Hope you have a great week ahead, Michelle  ♥

Thank you, Janet! I hope you’re well & having a relaxing weekend 🌷

  2. June 27, 2019 / 4:44 pm

Congratulations on the award. Thoroughly well deserved, Caz.

I’m so sorry your day out ended up so badly. I think we all do it – we think we can manage more than we’re capable of, then suffer. We learn quickly but forget just as quickly.

    Look after yourself, Caz.

    • June 30, 2019 / 12:03 pm

You’re absolutely right about how we can learn, then forget pretty quickly afterwards. Sometimes I think we just want to push because we don’t want to give in or give up, which is actually a good thing, it’s just a shame it’s so disheartening when it doesn’t end well. Thank you for the great comment, Liz. I hope you’re managing okay this weekend & that the week ahead is kind to you  ♥

Congratulations on your win. You deserve it. Did you notice your photos are sideways? I hope you feel a bit better soon.

    • June 28, 2019 / 10:00 am

Congrats on winning the award, you surely deserve it!
Not being able to do what you did years ago always is hard, but I think we have to adapt. Otherwise we lose even more quality of life.
Take care, this heatwave is a serious threat!

      • June 29, 2019 / 3:52 pm

You’re right, if we don’t adapt we lose even more. Thank you very much for the comment, Viola. You’re right about that heatwave – stay cool & hydrated!  ♥

    • June 30, 2019 / 12:18 pm

Thank you! I really don’t know what’s going on with those two day trip photos. Everything else is fine. I’ve adjusted, rotated, refreshed the thumbnail… it’s very odd! Hopefully they’re the right way up now but I can’t make them any smaller otherwise they revert back to the wrong way around 😂 I hope you have a good week ahead, Anne! xx

  4. June 27, 2019 / 5:28 pm

Congratulations on the win, Caz, and also on getting through these recent weeks. I understand that pay-off from doing too much only too well. Sometimes (such as now) it’s a choice that I make consciously – sometimes it’s worth the cost. Now I am waiting it out …. And the sunshine has arrived in spades!

    • June 30, 2019 / 1:40 pm

I’m sorry you know all to well yourself what that pay-back is like. It’s a case of weighing it up sometimes, as you say with times that it’s worth the price. I hope you’re managing to rest & recuperate this weekend, and that you’re back to your ‘baseline’ soon. Take good care of yourself, keep cool in this miraculously/oddly warm weather, and thank you for fab comment, Sandra  ♥

Hearty congrats on the Blogger’s Bash. That’s a big deal and well-deserved!

I loved Wedding Guest. I’m a huge Alex Delaware fan and was happy even this far into the series, the characters weren’t stale.

    • June 30, 2019 / 1:42 pm

That’s very kind of you, thank you! I’m glad you’re a fellow fan and also enjoyed the latest instalment. You’re absolutely right, Kellerman manages to keep his work feeling fresh and his characters engagingly interesting time after time. Have a great week ahead, Jacqui 🌷

I’m extremely proud of you for your award, well done. And equally as proud for your positivity. You are an inspiration to us all.

    • June 30, 2019 / 1:43 pm

That is such a lovely thing to say, and incredibly kind of you. I’m not sure I deserve the term ‘inspiration’, but it’s made me smile. Thank you, Jo! I hope you’re having yourself a relaxing weekend  ♥

I, Tamar, a robot, find it entirely fitting to congratulate you.

    • June 30, 2019 / 1:47 pm

I, Caz Robot, find it fitting to thank you for your congratulatory efforts. Your owner will be proud for being a good friend, even though it was not in your user manual. Maybe we are not such defective robots after all! 😉x

      • July 5, 2019 / 7:02 pm

        Yes, Robot, Caz.

BTW, I wish my owner had chosen the hair color, for me, that YOU HAVE!!!

        • July 5, 2019 / 10:09 pm

Tell your owner, this colour can be bought in a box in the supermarket, no need for a full system overhaul 😉

  10. June 27, 2019 / 8:55 pm

Way to go on the award. Most deserved.

I too loved Kellerman’s book. Worth the read.

Have a fabulous day, Caz. ♥

    • June 30, 2019 / 2:18 pm

Aw thank you! Kellerman’s brilliant, isn’t he? Glad you also enjoyed his latest book! Have a great week ahead, Sandee 🌷

    Hi, Caz—

As one of your newest subscribers, I share in the joy that you’ve received this recognition from your peers. You’ve much to be proud of.

I hope that after the difficulties you experienced in your outings, you’ll be able to find that “sweet spot” that will enable you to have fulfilling journeys that conclude with physical comfort and personal gratification.

    All good wishes to you.

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:21 pm

Aww thank you very much, Wendi 😊 Just read your last poem – you are doing brilliantly with the writing malarky, you have a real talent for it! xx

  14. June 27, 2019 / 10:34 pm

Yes, my husband tells me it’s been raining in the UK more-or-less constantly since I left. I return from NZ next Wednesday – I’ll try to bring the sun with me (it’s hardly rained at all since I arrived mid-May, and it’s winter here).
Well done with that award. keep it up!

    • June 29, 2019 / 5:44 pm

Thank you! I think you may have nudged the sun in the UK’s direction just by thinking about it, Cathy! The ‘heatwave from hell’ has been spreading across Europe so it’s very hot today; it’s a shock to the system considering the usual weather. How’s it been going in NZ, are you looking forward to coming back or will you be sad to leave? xx

  15. June 28, 2019 / 12:10 am

🎉Congrats on the well deserved award! 🎉 it just pumps me up to work harder so i can be nominated one day 🙈

    • June 29, 2019 / 5:42 pm

Absolutely, keep being awesome Elber because while it’s not about winning awards, it’s a good goal to motivate you. Thank you for the comment! 🙂

  18. June 28, 2019 / 2:59 am

    Congratulations!

I’m doing okay. Just feels like I’m spending most of my seven week vacation on house and yard work. But I’ve had some good times with friends, and yesterday I went for a 52 mile bike ride, a variation of which I try to do once a year.

    • June 29, 2019 / 5:27 pm

It sounds like you’re pretty busy even during your down time, but chilling with friends should make for a nice break. A 52 mile bike ride sounds like torture though! 😂 Try to get a bit of rest this weekend, I hope you have a good one.x

    June 28, 2019 / 4:39 am

You are one impressive young lady! I hope you are giving yourself numerous pats on your back both for the awards you’ve received, and for how hard you are trying to make your life meaningful. I admire you greatly. It sounds like life is so frustrating right now because of the intensity of your pain, and of your health issues. Remember that you don’t always have to be positive, it is NORMAL to be unhappy, to complain, to be depressed when a person is dealing with as much as you are.

I kvetch and complain way more than you ever do, in my blog, and in my life. My good friends(which are few), listen, get annoyed occasionally, but hang in there. My not so good friends just don’t have the patience for me, or the staying power.

Know that I think of you as a friend, and that you can reach out to me anytime. I’m not just saying this to be sentimental, I actually mean it.

Hugs, hugs, hugs, to you Caz, W

    • June 29, 2019 / 4:55 pm

I really don’t know quite what to say, Wendy. Your comment is so incredibly kind & it’s put a smile on my face ♥ I’ve lost a lot of people because of illness & everything that comes with it, so I’m sorry you’ve found the same. I likewise consider you a friend & I’ll always be here for you, too. That’s a deal then – we’re here for each other, any time either of us wants to chat or needs to vent. Thank you lovely, this means a lot to me. I hope you’re having a restful weekend 😊

  20. June 28, 2019 / 9:40 am

Many congratulations again Caz. You are an inspiration. I love crime thrillers too. I am enjoying Lynda la Plante at the moment. Enjoy the sunshine. It was VERY hot here yesterday, but lovely today. x

    • June 29, 2019 / 3:54 pm

Aww thank you  ♥ I’ve come across Lynda la Plante, but I can’t recall if I’ve ever read any of her work. Is it UK or US-based? I hope you stay cool, pack in some good reading time, & enjoy the rest of the weekend! xx

Congratulations on the award! Well deserved.
I like your ending note that spreads the positive vibes. Have a wonderful weekend!

    • June 29, 2019 / 3:44 pm

Aw thanks, Megala! That’s very much appreciated. I hope you’re having a lovely weekend too 😊xx

  22. June 28, 2019 / 10:37 pm

Yay!!! Congrats!!! I put Kellerman on my Amazon list. I’m thinking he must write like James Paterson. Patterson had the Alex Cross series. So good. The first was, Along Came a Spider. The second, Three Blind Mice. They are all kinda listed alphabetically. Cross My Heart was the third… Hope to Die… etc… I am reading How to be sick. It really is good. I take notes and read it while I read thrillers. Everything takes a bit longer but that how I read. Bummer about your day trip. Yes, lesson learned. So listen to that little voice that says, NO DAMN WAY ARE YOU GOING! ‘Should’s’ are a lifetime ago. I like these updates. 💜

    • June 29, 2019 / 3:41 pm

Aww thank you! I really like Patterson, too; I think you’ll love Kellerman. I hope you enjoy How To Be Sick (no spoilers – I want to wait to read it if there’s a twist at the end, like a cure for all our illnesses 😂). You’re right about those ‘should’s’, they ‘should’ be removed from our thought processes. Thanks for the fab comment lovely – I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend xx

  23. June 29, 2019 / 12:06 am

Many many congrats on the win, Caz! That’s huge! Sorry your Mom’s Day didn’t go well — you are generous to pass along the wisdom. Wishing you great days always, dear <3

Duckies!!! 🦆🦆🦆 They wander around my subdivision this time of year, and I adore watching them. Congratulations on your award! I’ve never read Kellerman; I’ll have to check him out.

    • June 29, 2019 / 2:50 pm

Aww, duckies are great, aren’t they? 🦆Thank you for the lovely comment – I hope you like Kellerman if you check out any of his books, I think he’s brilliant! xx

  25. June 29, 2019 / 10:25 am

Congratulations again on your win and yes, let us hear from you when you feel up to it and have time, but don’t let theblog become a source of stress. Shorter posts are good too, which is something I’m learning lately 🙂

So happy to hear the second day out was better for you and that you could enjoy it more. Ducks are cool 🙂

I think you’ll probably be enjoying this warmer weather, but please stay safe and hydrated – I swear the sun is getting stronger. I’ve got burned quite badly twice this year and this never usually happens to me.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine xx

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:49 pm

Thank you for the lovely comment! You’re right, blogging shouldn’t be a source of stress. I think right now everything feels like it’s causing a lot of stress, but I’m a chronic over-thinker and over-stresser so I also need to adjust my expectations again of what I can realistically get done. Duckies are awesome, aren’t they? 🦆 I’m sorry you’ve had sunburn already this year – make sure you have a good stock of sun lotion and stay cool this weekend. On another note – A HUGE Congratulations to you & ‘S’ on your wonderful news, I’m thrilled for you!  ♥ ♥ ♥

  26. June 29, 2019 / 1:31 pm

I’m so pleased you won the Best Lifestyle Blog Award! You deserve it. 🙂 I hope you’re having a lovely weekend.

Aww thank you, Kymber! That means a lot 🌷 I hope you’re having a chilled weekend and that the week ahead is a good one for you! xx

  27. June 29, 2019 / 7:21 pm

Congratulations on the award, Caz. What a big achievement and so very well deserved. Sorry you couldn’t attend and sorry about the tough times you’ve been having. Wishing you some much better spells ahead xx

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:53 pm

Thank you so much, Emma, I really appreciate it! How are you doing? Your ‘Joy In Summer’ series can finally come into ‘bloom’ as the UK has at last had some much-needed warmth & sunshine! I hope you’re having a restful weekend so far  ♥
      xx

  28. June 29, 2019 / 11:14 pm

Congrats on your award! I’m sorry that your trip didnt turn out like you planned, but on a positive note you did manage. Each time something doesnt work out for us, teaches us that maybe we should try to do things a bit differently. (Well after youre done yelling and cussing about being an idiot) Which for the record you might be the only one that things that.

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:55 pm

Thank you for the lovely comment! You’re absolutely right about taking these experiences and learning from them. We’re also our own worst critic so you’ve made a good point about how we feel like an idiot or berate ourselves, when others likely wouldn’t do/think the same. How are you doing, Grace? I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend and that the week ahead is a good one  ♥ xx

  29. June 30, 2019 / 12:47 am

Congratulations, Caz! Well deserved! I must admit that I like mysteries, thrillers give me nightmares. You are right about a book bringing comfort. I seldom watch TV (okay, never) but read every evening. Again, congratulations! 😎

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:58 pm

Thanks, George! Mysteries can keep you hooked, some can do the thriller part without too much gore or horror, but it’s best to steer clear if they give you nightmares because sleep is more important! Do you ever feel you’d like to watch anything like Netflix, or are you happier with books? I like a bit of both, probably because my concentration isn’t so good so I can go between the two. I hope you’re having a good weekend my friend, happy reading! 😊

  30. June 30, 2019 / 1:11 am

makes me happy knowing of your outings
with nature, sunshine and duckies, Caz!
    wonderful to have some recognition
and share so many good reads, too!
    wishing you moments with all
the colors of the rainbow, david 🙂

    • June 30, 2019 / 3:59 pm

Thank you very much, David! I hope the week ahead brings you smiles 😊

  31. June 30, 2019 / 8:38 am

Congratulations on winning an award, and glad you got to enjoy the sunshine in May 🙂 We’ve been having a heatwave the past few days and it’s perhaps too hot!

    • June 30, 2019 / 4:00 pm

Thank you lovely! I think the UK really struggles to get the balance. It’s either crap weather, or it’s roasting hot! 😂 Stay cool & hydrated, and have a great week ahead, Louise! xx

      • July 1, 2019 / 9:04 am

Exactly! It’s dull today 😂Have a great week too xx

Congratulations Caz on receipt of your reward and for the link to Hugh’s blog. Hugh has given me the idea of taking a ‘bloggers break’. Recently I felt that blogging and it’s associated activities had compromised my daily journalling practice which keeps me grounded. I will return when the time is right. I will also look at Hugh’s blogging tips to further develop my blog.
Thank you for visiting my blog and all your positive thoughts.
    Take care:-)

    • June 30, 2019 / 4:02 pm

A blogger’s break can be a good idea, especially when blogging becomes stressful and overwhelming rather than enjoyable. It certainly can take up a lot of time and energy, but it’s always there to come back to when you’re more balanced, even if you decide to spend less time on it in future so you can spend more time on other parts of your life, like journalling. Thank you for the lovely comment, Margaret. I hope you have a restful, enjoyable week ahead 🌷

  33. June 30, 2019 / 9:51 pm

Lulu: “Congratulations on your award! You deserve it!”
Charlee: “We’re sorry that your first outing didn’t go so well, but the second one sounds like a much better time, so that makes us purr.”
Chaplin: “And we agree about the brighter days. If there’s no sun puddle to sleep in today, there definitely will be one tomorrow!”

    • July 1, 2019 / 3:02 pm

Chaplin – exactly, those sun puddles are just around the corner!
Thank you for the awesome comment, they always make me smile! 😄
Hope you have a lovely week xx

  34. July 1, 2019 / 8:59 am

    Hey Caz,

Congratulations on your award!! So well deserved, I don’t think that you realise just how inspiring you are – you keep sharing and blogging and helping people even though you yourself might feel very poorly indeed. I am so happy to have made an online ‘blogger friend’ in you 🙂

I’m glad that you managed to enjoy the weather in May, you’re right in that the weather here is a bit hit and miss but fingers crossed for some better days this week – ideally not too hot of course… 😉 It’s really important that we are able to work out the maximum time we can go out for, I’m sorry that you had to find out with a bad outing though 🙁 I know that I WANT to do more but my body says ‘no’. It can be difficult for others to understand though.

And thanks for the book recs! I have been a bit slow this year with books after coming out of the hospital but am always on the lookout. I know my Dad has the Michelle Obama one, and I really like her as a person, so I think that I will give that a go too xxx

Jen, that is such a lovely thing to say, thank you so much! It’s people like you & comments like that that keep me going  ♥ I’m glad you have ‘met’ you in the blogosphere, too. You’re right about trying to ascertain our limits, but others don’t really ‘get it’, which can be difficult, especially if we end up feeling like a nuisance or that we’re letting someone down. Did your dad enjoy the Obama one? I’ve not started it yet but I’m so curious – you’ll have to give it a read when you have the time, too, see what you think of it. It’s either going to be incredible, or oddly overrated. Thank you for the comment, Jen. How are you doing at the moment? Is the spasticity getting any less? I hope you have a restful week  ♥

“I somehow managed to win the Best Lifestyle Blog Award at the 2019 Bloggers Bash” ~ Congratulations Caz <3 I am catching up with keeping touch with all my Blogging Friends and Family now. I have been so busy writing new articles and facing a lot of challenges in that past, that I have over looked in answering some of the comments and keeping in touch most of you. Thank yo so much for coming in and reading and appreciating what I have been writing. I am so glad that they have inspired and also helped you I hope <3

You have written, " A lot of the time I think I ‘should’ want to do these things"I ‘should’ try to do them, when I don’t really want because I don’t have the capacity to manage them" You see even if is one is well and in perfect health as you call, "There are times when one is unable to go out or do certain things one has to do in life. "For example going out to buy groceries or even to pay a bill" then one must know to rest or relax and go and do it when one is able to, unless there is some urgent need"…

This is regarding me also. "There are days I do not feel like, or do not feel relaxed enough to go and do my shopping, or even going to the salon even if my hair needs a cut and a tint" Then I listen to myself and go when I really want and feel like going to do them. I am not going to tell you to do or not do, but just to let you know, so that you know are not the only one and because of your health. What I do is, "Listen to my body's need or health" and go about doing things when I feel relaxed and can enjoy what ever I do":)

In the mean time, "Thank you so much for reading my articles and appreciating and commenting positively on them. I hope they inspire and motivate and help you. I send you, "Many Blessings of Love, Light and Healing Energies to You. "Believe and Know they WILL help you" 🙂 <3

      Aww thank you, Deepa!
Sounds like you’ve been busy busy, so I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment. You are absolutely right, it should be about listening to our body’s need and health and also prioritising enjoyment, especially as it’s not enjoyable when you’re too unwell or you really don’t want to be doing something but feel you should push yourself to do it anyway. You are very wise. Thank you for your lovely words – I hope you are doing as well as possible, and that this week is a good one for you lovely  ♥

Well done indeed on the best lifestyle blog award — thoroughly merited! Thanks for the book tips, love Jonathan Kellerman. Hope you get better weather — a bit of sunshine can make such a difference.

    • July 1, 2019 / 4:02 pm

That’s very kind, thank you! It’s great that you’re a fellow Kellerman fan – he’s brilliant, isn’t he? Do you have any other top authors you enjoy? I hope the week is a good one for you & all the beautiful animals and families you’re helping next 🙂

Good to read an update from you, Caz. I must say – I’m so proud of you and excited for you, receiving the Blogger’s Bash award. You absolutely 100% deserve it. Thank you for sharing your story, inspiring so many to keep pushing through their bad days and giving hope for the brighter ones to come. ♥♥♥

So sorry to hear you’ve really been going through it with your health. Most especially sorry to hear that your trips out were so hellish. That’s terrible 🙁 Do you think the change in weather is contributing at all, or has it pretty much remained the same there? The swings here have been horrendous and miserable! Ugh.

Your book list looks very interesting, too. I’ve kept hearing about Michelle Obama’s book and wondered myself if it were any good. Nice to hear your thoughts on it …

Sending you lots of love and positivity, my friend. Praying your days are filled with joy and incredible improvements in health. 🤗

Aww that’s very kind of you, thank you, Holly! How are you doing? I love that new cat tree house by the way, and you did a brilliant job with your review. I left a comment but they never ‘stick’ on your blog, so they may just head straight to the spam folder.. You’re right about the weather, I don’t do well with the cold so that never helps, and it’s incredibly changeable at the moment in the UK. I hope you get some better weather in your part of the world soon too, fingers crossed! Thank you for the lovely comment – I hope this week is a good one for you ♥ xx

Aww that’s so kind of you, Rachel, thank you very much! I’m still shocked to have been nominated, let alone to win. I’m rooting for you with the big Wego award!  ♥

Congrats on the awards! Well deserved.

I have never read a Kellerman book, but I love crime mysteries (probably not surprising, since I’m a lawyer) and will have to check out his books! Thanks!

    • July 7, 2019 / 2:18 pm

Thank you lovely! Ooo I hope you like Kellerman if you do check out any of his stuff, I think he’s fab! Do you like more of the courtroom & legality-based crime mysteries, like Michael Connelly? I hope you’re having a restful weekend 😊

Wow, Caz! Congrats on the Bloggers Bash Award! That is huge and I’m so proud of you-it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person!! I hope that you are enjoying all of your books and am so thrilled you won the giveaway, yay!! Becoming was a favorite and I love anything by Slaughter-I just read The Last Widow and it was excellent. I was up till 3 am finishing it. I do understand about the outings. It’s so hard. One trip to the grocery store and I’m wiped out for at least 3 or 4 days, but you understand that. It’s so hard to find acceptance when we can’t control things. Today is not a good day for me with pain, but I’m doing what I can although I think I should be resting more and am not. Will talk soon! I saw your message and wanted to read your post-so exciting!! xoxo ♥

    • July 8, 2019 / 2:48 pm

Aww that’s really kind of you, thank you  ♥ I’m sorry you know all too well what any kind of outing is like, I take my hat off to you for doing as much as you do, I think you’re incredible! But, it also sounds like you’re too much like me in not being able to take your own advice – please rest up, read & recuperate more when you can this week lovely.xx
