Cats are a curious bunch, living their nine lives on their own terms as they train their human masters to cater to their every whim. Cat lovers may appreciate their foibles and cuteness and the joy these balls of fur can bring, but we know the truth: cats make the rules and they grant you permission to be in their presence when they wish to, not a minute sooner. Note – I actually drafted part of this post over a year ago. I thought it would make for a lighter piece to use in between the more difficult topics of health & chronic illness. After losing beautiful cat Virgil recently, I thought I’d complete & publish this as a little tribute.

Such a lovely tribute to Virgil.
These quotes are so good and extremely accurate. When we had our cat, she ruled the roost. She was an indoor and outdoor cat. She went out, came in, out, in, out in….you get the picture, I’m sure. She was best friends with our old dog too. There was none of the cat/dog hate thing going on. I think they had a secret language between them too.
