Quick Quote : Never-Ending Possibilities

by InvisiblyMe

It’s a new month – Hello July! – and a good time to give ourselves the reminder of new possibilities with today’s quote.

Quick Quote : New Possibilities

It can be exhausting and disheartening when you’re faced with a problem – whether that’s with your health, work or personal life – and you feel as though you’re not getting anywhere. I’ve faced the point of feeling as though I’ve run out of options and that it’s the end of the road, but then if I squint, I can just about make out another door in the distance, another option or avenue to explore.

Those options may not be ideal, they may not be what you expected, or they may just be brilliant. There are never-ending scenarios in this game, with no rules, but you need to take the chance. With our health, it may be that you really are out of options (like I was with needing a stoma), which is where a change of perspective & focus comes in. The point is to move forward into the unknown with hope and confidence that life has an abundance of possibilities.

Take a deep breath, adapt your perspective, think outside the box and keep your eyes & heart open to change, because you’re not out of possibilities yet.

Caz  ♥

We can’t give up, but need to look for that next door. It’s there is we are willing to search. Excellent advice.

This is a fabulous quote to start the new month Caz! As you said, there may be instances (such as your stoma issue) where we are out of all options except one and we just have to take that option. But in the grand scheme of things, we have many more options than we realize sometimes. As long as we’re breathing, we’re not out of possibilities. Thanks so much for that reminder today sweet friend!

InvisiblyMe July 4, 2019 - 4:06 pm

Very well said, Terri. I think it’s the case of not being able to see the options, or just needing a change of perspective to how we deal with certain situations even, that can open up a new path forward. I’m so glad you liked the post, and thank you for the lovely comment ♥ I hope July is a good month for you xx

Does it matter if I’m tired of facing the future with optimism? Do I still have to do it?

Reply
Marie Clancy July 1, 2019 - 9:46 pm

It’s better facing it with optimism than without! We still have to face it, I know which I’d choose!

Reply
InvisiblyMe July 4, 2019 - 4:02 pm

It seems so straightforward yet when you put it like that, it gives a new way of looking at it. I don’t find I’m naturally positive or optimistic, I have to work at it, but you’re right, it’s better for your own experience of life to choose optimism than not. xx

Reply
InvisiblyMe July 4, 2019 - 4:01 pm

Well, I think you still need to face the future because you owe yourself the best life possible, but optimism is optional. It makes it easier on yourself & a better experience to have a little hope & a positive outlook. Are you feeling that way, fed up of facing the future with optimism?xx

Amen. As the saying goes, “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”

Often, our best moments are on the other side of “I don’t know what to do. I’m laying down trying to figure it out.” We stress ourselves out so much just trying to force something to happen. Being kinder to ourselves is what we need. 🙂

I love what you said here, “The point is to move forward into the unknown with hope and confidence that life has an abundance of possibilities.” So so good, Caz. Sometimes faith isn’t a giant leap at all. It’s one small step at a time, moving forward, even if only baby ones.

Thanks for the inspiration as always. Beautifully said ????

Reply
InvisiblyMe July 3, 2019 - 6:33 pm

You’re absolutely right about how much we can stress ourselves silly trying to force something to happen. And faith and moving forward definitely can be with the smallest, tiniest of steps. I’m so glad this post resonated with you, thank you for such a brilliant comment! xx

That’s a good point! Often there are other options, once we can calm down and look for them. Giving up is so rarely the right idea….and even then, it’s time to look for a “Plan B!”

Reply
InvisiblyMe July 3, 2019 - 5:16 pm

Exactly, and sometimes we just need to give ourselves that time and space to calm down and take a step back to be able to see them. Plan B is around the corner. Thanks for the comment, Ann! ????

Caz,

That’s a wonderful quote, nicely leading off an inspirational post.

I just heard the following from a friend recovering from surgery that saved her life;

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” —Helen Keller

Charlee: “I like this sentiment. It definitely applies to us cats.”
Chaplin: “Yes, because we have nine lives.”
Lulu: “That’s a lot of lives. How did you cats get so many?”
Charlee: “I’m not sure. I guess we scored a lot of points in the video game of life or something.”

Greedy cats getting 9 while us humans only get 1, maybe 2 if we’re really lucky! We must be really bad at the video game of life ????
