Your Laughter Prescription [ September 2018 ]

Happy Friday! It’s been a bit of an emotionally draining week with fatigue also weighing quite heavily, so I thought I’d do a little post to lighten the load for those feeling the same. Humour can help get us through the tough days and it really can be the best medicine sometimes, so I think it’s important to give yourself a much-needed prescription for laughter regularly. Here’s a little round-up that I hope will make you smile πŸ™‚

Human Vs Goat – Aren’t goats just awesome?

One man, his bathroom shelf, and a guitar = comedy lyrical genius.

This woman’s attitude is great and I think we need to learn to laugh at ourselves more, but it just goes to show the lengths we go to in order to try to hide and change how we look, and how chronically we’re conditioned to hate our bodies rather than love every inch of them.

#8

I love the musical accompaniment to this one too, poor little guy.

Enjoy the chuckles & have a lovely weekend!

Number 2 was too funny, but the lady in the Spanx just took the cake! Hilarious, now I just hope she got out of that OK. Yes, and note to self, don’t buy Spanx! Ever!

    • Sep 25, 2018 / 3:35 pm

Exactly – she has educated all of us in not trying to attempt Spanx! Glad you liked it, I thought it was hilarious too πŸ™‚

Why are giraffes so slow to apologize?
Because it takes them a long time to swallow their pride.

Ooo that’s good, and so on-theme for your blog – Thanks for sharing!

    • Sep 25, 2018 / 4:12 pm

It’s sad that we notice our side hurts because it means it’s generally too rare that we can laugh like that. Glad you liked it! I hope you can find reasons to giggle and smile this week, Marie πŸ™‚

I LOVE this post!!! that goat video gets me every time! xxxx

Hehee, the goat is certainly quite popular, what a cutie! πŸ™‚

  18. Sep 24, 2018 / 3:08 am

Exactly what we all need, I really do believe laughter is the best medicine. Ratehr than focusing on out illnesses we should do this more often. So the lady can’t get her Spanx on? Now that would cause me to laugh uncontrollably. Reminds me of a time I couldn’t get the zip to pull down on a skirt in the trial rooms.

    • Sep 25, 2018 / 3:16 pm

I’m glad you agree, laughter really can be such a balm to the soul, so to speak!
Oh dear, sounds like you’ve had a similar experience to me getting stuck in something in a changing room, it’s a nightmare! x

  19. Sep 24, 2018 / 5:30 am

you picked great ones for us! I love the feminist element to the spanx one — & how commenters were wise & kind enough to tell her she doesn’t need a girdle anyway πŸ™‚

    • Oct 8, 2018 / 4:08 pm

I loved that Spanx one too, and it’s times like this we can unite as women and say how ridiculous it all is! πŸ™‚
Thanks for the comment lovely, I hope you have a good weekend with plenty of giggles ahead xx

  20. Sep 24, 2018 / 12:56 pm

    Loved them all!❀

    • Sep 25, 2018 / 3:10 pm

Great stuff, hope they raised a smile πŸ™‚

These are brilliant Caz! Thanks so much for a good laugh! I loved that little goat so much, and I was laughing and cringing at the same time when I watched the poor lady with the Spanx. Just in case I needed a reminder not to EVER try them…. I’ll bet she ended up having to cut herself out of them….. Thanks so much for sharing all these!

Little giggles were what I needed while I lay in bed hacking my brains out with a cold. By the way, we have goats and they’re wonderful listeners as well as humorous conversationalists.

    • Oct 13, 2018 / 5:53 pm

Aw, I’m sorry you’ve got a cold too at the moment. I hope you’re able to rest up and start feeling better soon. Giggles do help ease the yuckness a bit, and I’m sure talking to the goats will help too, they’re such sweeties who obviously have listening skills as well as conversational etiquette! Thanks for the great comment & I hope the cold leaves you alone soon.xx
