Wake up kids
We’ve got the dreamers disease
Do you have a favourite song, one that gets you through the tough times or reminds you of good days? I have a few, but when I heard this particular track again recently I thought how much I wanted to share it. It makes me smile and hopefully it’ll bring a smile to your face too, if not a toe-tapping twitch and some bad dance moves.
The lyrics say it all. When things feel hopeless and you don’t know what to do, hold on. Maybe not today, maybe not even tomorrow, but you’ll find your fighting spirit again, the kick ass warrior, the stubborn determination. You get what you give, and you’ve got plenty to give. Yes, I’m a lover of 80s cheese and 90s awesomeness. Remember this one by the New Radicals? Grab your floppy hats, baggy trousers and grunge attitude!
But when the night is falling
You cannot find the light
You feel your dreams are dying
Hold tightYou’ve got the music in you
Don’t let goDon’t give up
You’ve got a reason to live
Can’t forget
We only get what we give

I’m glad you love it too! Strange you should mention Baz Luhrmann as it was either that track of the New Radicals I was going to post about! I’ll have to do Sunscreen next time!
