Bank Holiday Bargains

True to form here in the UK, one or two glorious days of sunshine and warmth have been quickly chased away by dark clouds, gusts of wind, rain and storms. If you’re staying in, exhausted or simply need some R&R this weekend, it’s the perfect excuse to do a bit of window shopping online and bargain buying.

Summer Scents

Superdrug have some great star buys at the moment, including Ghost The Fragrance 100ml at £26 down from £58 and Boss Orange Feel Good Summer 100ml at £28 instead of £56.

It’s also worth noting that if you’re buying your health and beauty bits from Superdrug you can order online and collect in store for free, or get free delivery when you spend over £10. If you have a Beauty Card (their free loyalty card), standard home delivery is free on any order. Beauty Card holders also get an extra 20% off fragrances this weekend.

Sparkling Smiles

Replacement brush heads for electric/battery powered toothbrushes can be really expensive, so I like to keep an eye out for discounts. You can currently get 4 Oral B Precision Clean brush heads at less than half price for only £8.48 (usual price £16.99). Superdrug also have a range of toothbrushes from the Oral B Pro range at half price, so you can snap up a new electric toothbrush for around £25.

Simply Supplements

Holland & Barrett are currently running a better than half price sale. Top picks include :

350 1000mg Omega 3 Capsules at £11.49 (was £34.99)   /   100 B12 capsules for £4.09 (was £8.19)   /   500g Manuka Honey at £18.49 (was £36.99)   /   60 Evening Primrose capsules for £7.49 (was £14.99)   /   120 Flaxseed Linseed Oil capsules for £6.84 (was13.69)   /   200 Magnesium tablets for £9.17 (was £18.35).

Smooth Skin

There’s a range of Venus razors and shave gels at half price at Superdrug  so you can pick up the Venus Swirl razor for only £5.97 and the Gillette Sensitive Skin Satin Shave gel (I really like the Satin gel range) for £1.73.

For the guys, there’s better than half price on various Nivea for Men and also on Lynx products.

Want to get on board with juices and smoothies? The Breville Blend Active is down to £21.99.

There’s a rather pretty looking Revlon foot spa at £19.99 on Deal Of The Day, so you’ll have to be quick as it’s for Sunday only!

Holiday Essentials

Planning a day trip, a long weekend or a week long break? Stock up on travel sized essentials at 3 for £3.

You can also get buy one get one half price on selected Piz Buin, including sun screen lotions and after sun creams. While stocks last, you also get a free beach towel!

Get Crafty

Want to keep yourself occupied at home? Art, whether it’s sketching, colouring in or doodling, can be great therapy for anxiety. I love the Staedtler Noris Club Fibre felt tips (pack of 20) that you can pick up for £6.99 from Amazon. There are also some really funky colouring books, such as the Animal Kingdom one for £3.99.

If you fancy trying something a little different, there are some fab watercolour pencils also by Staedtler for only £6.61 for a pack of 24. It took me some getting used to when I first tried these out, but they’re great fun!

I watched a YouTube video of someone doing the most beautiful flower with them, it was mesmerising to watch! Would love to see some of your watercolour pencil creations =]

I looked at the Animal Kingdom colouring book, but I wasn’t sure I will have time to colour. I have some books I’m eager to read and they keep me busy at the time. I think I should have bought it and wait for a month when I’m not as busy. Love your selection. x

It’s always good to have something in for those rainy days and moments of downtime. I read a lot too, so I always have books to hand, but I’m tempted by the Animal Kingdom colouring book as well 🙂

This was such a great post Caz! I am obsessed with adult colouring books but I need to dedicate some time to actually doing and finishing some beautiful intricate ones. I have about 4 of these books now and most of them are colourless, shame on me!! xxx

Thanks, glad you liked the post! I’m not surprised you’ve not got around to doing much with them, you’ve been pretty busy. Definitely a good excuse to take a little break for yourself, maybe head outside when the sunshine returns (I hope it does, anyway!) and make use of those colouring books 🙂

That’s a great idea, I’m definitely going to do that when (like you said) Summer comes back round again! Lots of love xx

    Thanks for sharing some bargins.
I purchased the Breville Blend Active last month for my wedding juice diet. It works great, it’s easy to clean too.
    Keep Smiling.
