Helloooooo 2018!

by InvisiblyMe
A black background with silver text and specks of glitter that reads: 2018 Happy New Year

2018 – There you are!

It’s a New Year, and with that a new blog, too! What do you think of the changes? I’m still playing around with it but I’d love to hear your thoughts (positive and negative, or any suggestions).

I’m not doing “New Year resolutions” per se, but there are some things I’d like to do, a few things I’d like to change, and a couple of ticks I’d like to make on my bucket list. I think there’s too much pressure with the New Year mindset to make big changes and reinvent yourself and your life, when we have enough pressures as it is. It’s important to take stock and get a little perspective to figure out what’s important to you and where your priorities should lie for the year ahead.

It’s also important to try to be flexible and prepare yourself for the unknown, because you know what they say about “best laid plans”… a pigeon will always come along and poop all over you, so sometimes you just have to go with the flow and make the best of it. How is your 2018 looking so far?

I want to wish everyone a happier, healthier 2018 – Have hope, because things can get brighter.

Caz

It is quite “busy” with the images and links. Do you think it’s a bit too much? I want it accessible for everyone and not overwhelming to look at. Thanks for the positivity and lovely comment as always Kim! 🙂 xx

I love your layout Caz, nice and clean…. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions either, but I do update my goals and set some new ones if needed. Wishing you a happy, healthy, and hopeful new year!

I think that goals, then re-evaluating them as you go, is a very sensible way of moving forward, and it feels less pressured than the whole notion of resolutions. Thank you for the great comment Terri – I hope 2018 is a good one for you! 🙂 x

Great new look Caz! Change can be a great thing! I honestly do not believe in New Year’s resolution because they add too much pressure! Living with MS, I really update my goals based on how I am feeling daily with hopes things will improve. I wish you a very Happy and healthy New Year!!!

I think that’s a far more reasonable, realistic thing to do, taking things day by day and updating as you go. You really do need to listen to your body and adjust accordingly rather than try to force yourself into ready made plans and resolutions (especially with all the added pressure). So glad you like the new theme!
All the best for 2018 lovely 🙂

I really do need to sit down and give some proper thought to this year, though I’m pretty sure a lot on my bucket list will be taken from last year’s list!
Thank you for the lovely comment – I hope 2018 good to you! 🙂

Liking the new theme/colours on your blog 🙂 I agree that reassessing your priorities and making a few small changes here and there is more manageable than trying to keep on top of a stack of New Year’s Resolutions. Happy New Year, Caz!

I LOVE it! Clean, simple and easy to navigate! And the simplicity gives it so much beauty. All the web-designers are advising a clean, stream-lined look as best. So you have nailed it. Happy 2018! Praying yours is blessed with improved health and all the love that you so clearly deserve! <3

Love the look! I am having trouble getting the “like” button to load, I hope that is only on my end 🙂

Reply
InvisiblyMe January 2, 2018 - 11:33 am

I think the “like” button is a little glitchy, seems you often need to refresh the page to get it to appear (I’ve found this on some other blogs too). I’ve asked Pipdig if there’s anything that can be done about it – Thanks! 🙂

Your blog looks fab! I seriously need to do some work on mine, but as the technical bits are not my favourite thing, it tends to take a back seat!! I totally agree with what you say about New Year resolutions. I haven’t set any either but have a few little things I’d like to work on! Wishing you all the best for 2018, and here’s to hoping we avoid those pigeons! ?x
