I don’t know about you, but I’m already feeling a bit worn down with the Christmas commotion. It’s important to schedule a little down time, and mini-distractions in your day can really help. Here are a few suggestions, with no Christmas in sight!
Take A Browse On YouTube
There are heaps of videos on a variety of topics on YouTube. It’s a haven for distraction. Check out ‘top’ lists for the best in funny videos because laughter really is the best medicine sometimes. Lifewire lists their own Top 10 here.

Puzzle It Out
There are plenty of free puzzle sites online to get your teeth stuck in to and distract yourself from all things Christmas, while keeping your brain nimble. For instance, there are crosswords from BoatLoadPuzzles, a host of games at Gamesgames.com and even jigsaws from JigsawPlanet.
There are plenty things you can integrate into mini-breaks throughout your day to give your brain and body a break from Christmas shenanigans. A Netflix session, hot chocolate & a good book, get some pencils out & release your inner artiste, go for a walk, take some photos, reach out & contact someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, visit online forums, a home spa retreat (think nice bath, foot scrub, face mask, hand lotion), boardgames & jigsaw puzzles, and colouring books.
If you’re feeling a little frazzled or fed up with Christmas already, perhaps you need to take a little distraction break every now and then – and make sure a little laughter is on your list! Do you have any favourite distractions?
