I wanted to share a graphic and two websites that invaluable for us ladies when it comes to ‘knowing your lemons’. Breast cancer is something we are told to check for ourselves, but while there is more advice on feeling for lumps and bumps these days, there is little telling us about the other various changes to look out for.

I love this illustration of lemons in an egg box. Breast cancer isn’t a light topic to discuss, and yet this graphic is clear, informative and takes the edge of self-checking.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this. I have literally been feeling my boob for two days trying to decide if what I am feeling is of concern or not. I don’t think it is now because it feels more like a smooth knot of muscle as opposed to anything hard or grainy, but I have to say thank you for posting this! I have been having my husband feel it then I don’t trust what he thinks so I go back and rub it again for 20 minutes and my boob is quite sore now! lol I go to the Doctor on Tuesday so I will find out then for sure I guess. Anyway, great post. Love the graphic.

    1. Anything that seems slightly unusual can be a worry, but it’s good you’ve picked up on it and can have it properly checked next week just to be sure and put your mind at ease. All the very best with your GP appointment, let me know how you get on? And thank you for the comment 🙂

    1. I thought it was fab, especially as I only ever really knew to look for lumps and bumps too. Hopefully it can be shared around so more ladies know. Thanks for the comment 🙂

    1. It is important, and so useful to know about the other signs other than lumps and bumps. Thanks for the comment! 🙂
